When should I begin?
The sooner the better. If you are anticipating a problem with a particular course, then you should begin sessions during the first or second week of class.
Can I start sessions after I've had trouble with one or two midterms?
Yes. You can begin your sessions any time during the semester, but your expectations must be tempered by where you stand in the class when you seek help.
How many sessions should I schedule a week?
Everyone is different, but for most students a single one hour session per week per course with extra sessions immediately before exams is enough .
If I need extra help from time-to-time can I schedule additional sessions on short notice?
Absolutely. I will make every effort to fit you into my schedule.
I don't think I need help every week, but could I schedule one or two sessions before each of my exams?
Certainly, but don't wait until the last minute.
I'm not currently enrolled in a course, but I'm scheduled to take one soon. Can you help me get ready for it?
Sure. Whether you are rusty on a prerequisite for a course you are scheduled to take and want to review or you want to make an early start on the material in order to hit the ground running at the start of the semester, I can help.
I have a learning disability. Will you tutor me?
Yes. I have have had several students with learning disabilities in the past and I have been able to accommodate their needs.
I took an incomplete in a course. Can you help me get ready to take the exams I missed?
Maybe. It depends on the reason that you took the incomplete. If you took an incomplete to avoid failing a course, I may not be of much help. On the other hand, if you took an incomplete for medical or personal reasons, then I may be able to help. In any case, you can arrange a free consultation after which I can tell you if I can help.
I have a take-home-exam/project due. Can you do it for me?
No, but I can help you prepare just as I would help you for an in-class exams.
Can you guarantee that I'll get a certain grade?
No. I will guarantee that I will work with you to help you to attain your goal, but ultimately your performance will depend on your efforts.
